I once moved into a house where I had to clear out the shed as part of the lease agreement, and boy was that place full of treasures. Among them was a box of pipe fittings quite like the one in this picture, worth hundreds of bucks.

In total, I made several months' worth of rent by selling things in that shed - and the landlord couldn't be bothered to "clean up all that garbage" and even gave me a discount on rent for a few months for taking care of it. I still have a hammer drill, a lathe and a whole bunch of tools that I just kept, as well as supplies, nuts and bolts and just a myriad of stuff to the tune of thousands of bucks.
